Thomas Dudley Harmon (September 28, 1919 – March 15, 1990), more commonly known as Tom Harmon, sometimes known by the nickname "Old 98", was an American football player, military pilot, actor, and sports broadcaster. Born in Rensselaer, Indiana, Harmon grew up in the city of Gary, and was an outstanding athlete at Horace Mann High.
